IOP is a structured outpatient treatment program that provides group therapy, individual counseling, and psychoeducation several days per week. It offers a higher level of support than standard outpatient while allowing you to live at home and maintain daily responsibilities like work or school.
PHP (Partial Hospitalization) runs 9am-3:30pm with lunch provided and is our most intensive outpatient level. IOP is a step down — shorter sessions (3-3.5 hours) with three schedule tracks. Both include weekly individual therapy and evidence-based groups, but IOP is designed for those who need more flexibility.
The typical IOP duration is 60 to 90 days, though your clinical team will work with you to determine the right length based on your progress, clinical needs, and insurance authorization.
A typical session includes a mindfulness check-in, clinician-led group therapy, a skills workshop (CBT, DBT, or ACT), and a wrap-up with goal-setting. Weekly individual therapy sessions are scheduled separately. Snacks are provided at all sessions.
Yes — IOP is specifically designed to fit around work and daily life. Our evening track (6-9pm Mon-Thu) is built for working professionals. Morning and afternoon tracks also allow you to maintain part-time work or other commitments.
Our Professional Evening Track runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm. It delivers the same clinical curriculum as daytime sessions in a condensed format, specifically designed for those who work during the day.
IOP sessions run Monday through Thursday (4 days per week). Each session is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours depending on your chosen track. Weekly individual therapy is scheduled in addition to group sessions.
Our IOP uses evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma processing when clinically appropriate. We also incorporate holistic approaches like yoga, breathwork, and equine therapy.
Most major insurance plans cover IOP. We're in-network with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Point 32 (Harvard Pilgrim + Tufts), Tricare, Uprise Health, and WellSense NH Medicaid. We verify coverage within minutes — call us for a free check.
