Our Story

Founded on Lived Experience

A family-style recovery environment built by people who understand the journey firsthand.

[Founder Name] founded Trailhead Treatment Center with a clear vision: to create a family-style recovery environment where individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders could find real, lasting healing.

As a person in long-term recovery, [Founder Name] understands the challenges of addiction firsthand. That lived experience, combined with professional clinical training, drives everything we do at Trailhead — from our flexible scheduling to our intimate counselor-to-client ratio.

The name "Trailhead" represents the starting point of every recovery journey. Just as every trail begins with a single step, we believe every person can find their path to lasting wellness with the right support, clinical care, and community.

Our team combines evidence-based therapies — CBT, DBT, EMDR, and ACT — with holistic practices including yoga, meditation, breathwork, and art therapy. We offer 12-Step, SMART Recovery, and Dharma Recovery support groups, ensuring every client finds a framework that resonates with them.

"We built Trailhead to be the kind of place we would have wanted for ourselves — a place where you're treated like family, not a number." — [Founder Name], Founder

We offer a full continuum of outpatient care: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP) with morning, afternoon, and evening options, Outpatient Program (OP), Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Telehealth services, and an Alumni Program for ongoing support after treatment.

We treat substance use disorders (alcohol, opioids, cocaine, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and more) as well as co-occurring mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other mental health challenges.

No. We have a separate mental health track for individuals who need treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, or other conditions without a substance use component. You do not need a substance use diagnosis to receive care at Trailhead.

Most clients begin treatment within 24-48 hours of their initial phone call. Our admissions team handles insurance verification, clinical assessment, and scheduling — often on the same day you call.

We accept Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Point 32 Health (Harvard Pilgrim + Tufts), Tricare, Uprise Health, and WellSense (NH Medicaid). We also offer flexible self-pay options and can help explore financial aid opportunities.

Yes. All program levels are available via telehealth, and we offer hybrid options that combine in-person and virtual sessions. This flexibility ensures treatment works around your schedule and situation.

Absolutely. Our Evening Professional Track (6-9 PM, Mon-Thu) is specifically designed for working adults. We also offer flexible scheduling within IOP — you can attend morning, afternoon, or evening sessions and switch daily as needed.

A typical PHP day includes group therapy sessions (CBT, DBT, ACT), individual therapy, psychoeducation groups, lunch (provided for PHP clients), case management meetings, and wellness activities. IOP follows a similar structure in a condensed timeframe.

Yes. Our on-site Nurse Practitioner meets with every new client within 24 hours of admission for a comprehensive medication evaluation. MAT options include Suboxone, Vivitrol, and other evidence-based medications.

Yes. We offer individual family therapy sessions and monthly family education groups via Zoom. These groups are open to any family member 18+ and cover topics like codependency, family systems, and substance use education. Family involvement is encouraged but not required.

Clients step down through our continuum of care (PHP to IOP to OP) and then transition to our Alumni Program, which provides ongoing community, events, and support. We also coordinate referrals to external therapists and psychiatrists for continued care.
